Southern Rider is a community platform where bikers can come together to share experiences, trade, organize rides and events, provide reviews, learn and teach mechanics or riding tips, and, above all, have fun, make new friends, and express themselves online.
We've built the core of the website using phpBB3, supplemented with MediaWiki, Coppermine Photo Gallery, and various other scripts serving as plugins. While we initially utilized Joomla, we're gradually transitioning away from it due to several reasons.
The homepage of Southern Rider, along with its portal system, comprises custom pages within phpBB3, giving the appearance of integration with the forum system while maintaining autonomy. We've been cautious about plugin usage in phpBB3 to avoid compatibility issues during core software upgrades.

Logo
Regarding the logo, it's a unique design that may take a moment to decipher. Depicting a man on a bike, the rear shock forms an "S," while the front shock, bars, and mudguard create a backward "R," collectively forming "SR" for "Southern Rider." It's garnered positive feedback and sparked interest from users.
